Purchasing Pottery
The pottery gallery is open all year on Wednesdays and Sundays from 3 P.M. until 6 P.M, or by appointment. It will also be open during special sales such as the spring kiln opening and the Chatham County Studio tour. Sales during regular store hours, kiln openings (one yearly) and Chatham County Studio Tour receive 20% discount for currency, 15% for checks. We are unable to take credit cards. (No discount for sales by appointment.)
Wholesale customers please make an appointment. Discount dependent upon the amout purchased.
We do not ship pottery to retail or wholesale customers. However, pottery may also be purchased from the galleries listed on the left side of this page.
Location of the Pottery
The pottery is located at 132 Collins Mountain Road in Chatham County about 10 miles west of Chapel Hill (see directions below). It is in the brown building to rear of the main house: just follow the garden path.
Directions from Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill: Take NC54-US15-501 Bypass around Southwest perimeter of Chapel Hill. Stay on NC 54 when US 15-501 leaves it. Take second exit after this point (Jones Ferry Road exit). Left onto Jones Ferry Road. Straight for about 6 miles, then right at Frosty's Trading Post onto Crawford Dairy Rd. Right after 2.4 miles onto Collins Mt. Rd. First house on right.
From Greensboro, Graham, and points West: I-85 to NC 54 exit. NC 54 towards Chapel Hill for 10 miles. Right at convenience store onto the Morrow Mill Road. Left fork after 1.5 miles onto the Clover Garden-Orange Chapel road. Sharp left 5 miles later onto Collins Mt.Rd. (comes about 1/4 mi. after small bridge). First house on right.
From Pittsboro: NC 87 North for 8 miles. Right onto Chicken Br. Rd. at historical marker "Captain Johnston Blakely". Continue 4 miles to T-intersection. Left onto Crawford Dairy Rd. Right 1 mile later onto Collins Mt. Rd. First house on right.
